March 5 Prayer Update

"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building."
I Corinthians 3:6-9

When the Apostle Paul wrote these words to the Christians in Corinth, he didn't say how long it would take to see the sprouting and growth of those seeds. The idea is that it takes the Body of Christ to continue laboring together in faith and in dependence upon God. The results and the glory belong to God.

This weekend our team was so encouraged to talk to Granville -- someone we have been ministering to for nearly 10 years. For the first time he was showing openness to the gospel, especially when we discussed that in Christianity we receive Christ's righteousness rather than trying to earn our own. We are praising God for this!

Please continue to pray for Granville that he would come to faith in Christ Jesus. He also has a shattered thumb that is infected. Please pray for healing and that he would get medical attention

Martinez Team Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for Mary who was given a Bible and who heard the gospel from our team members. She is very lonely.

  • Pray for Steve, Paul and Ron and Judy.

  • Pray for Bob that his trust and relationship with our team members would grow and that he would come to faith.

  • Please pray for those who are being asked to vacate the area they have been living in, for their safety and that our team members would be able to stay in contact with them.

Please pray for Teresa who has issues with her feet and who is in a lot of pain. She also suffers from alcoholism and heart disease, and the alcohol consumption interferes with her heart medication. Please pray for faith and restoration.

Central Concord Prayer Requests

  • Pray for George who seemed receptive to the Gospel and spiritual conversations. He was given a Bible and our team prayed with him.

  • Heather asked us to pray for her safety and for her MS. She was grateful to receive a new hoodie from our team members.

  • Please pray for "X-Ray," who had one of the Bibles we had given him nearby. He was given a copy of "Our Daily Bread" and prayed with a member of our team.

  • Pray for Michael who was given a gospel of John and who prayed with our team. He says that he knows Jesus. Pray that his faith would grow and for his restoration.

North Concord Team Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for Dave who goes by "Two Knives" (pictured). He has a severely wounded knee. He's struggling with a lot of pain and deep anger.

  • For Marty whose understanding of Christianity is mixed with a lot of false teaching. Pray that the conversations our team had with him would be used by God to bring him to true faith.

  • For Irwin and Stacy who both received Bibles and gospel tracks, that they, too, would come to faith.
