February 2021 Prayer Update
February, we had nine volunteers and split into two teams. We were equipped with 80 lunches provided by faithful members of North Creek church. We also had urns of hot coffee (generously donated) and plenty of clothing including many new t-shirts. We are grateful for the generous people who offer these donations that help us open discussions about Jesus with our homeless friends.
One team started in Concord at the Civic Center. In recent months we have consistently found people here that we could share with. We met and engaged in conversations with Kathy, Chris, Robert, Heidi and Laurie. They especially appreciated the hot coffee as we shared with them.
We proceeded on to an organized and City sanctioned camp in Martinez. We recently discovered this location in the Martinez Marina Park. Our team of four spread out and engaged with a number of the residents. Again, the hot coffee and lunches were a hit.
The other team started off in downtown Concord where we were able to provide for a pray with a few individuals who we’d seen before:
Next, near In-N-Out we had a lengthy conversation with Ron. He was really interested in discussing spiritual things, and asked for a bible, since his last one was stolen.
The remainder of our time was spent near our regular Concord bridges. Here are some photos of those we prayed with, talked to and provided items for
One lady, Beth, lived alone in an isolated tent some way down the trail from the bridge. She was lonely and very thankful for us to share and pray with her. She had never read the bible before, and asked where to start. We were able to walk her through it and point her to the book of John. Please pray she will read it so we can follow-up next time we see her:
Please pray for the individuals that we encountered, for the volunteers who continue to commit a Saturday morning every month and for the many people who contribute food and clothing to our ministry.
