October 23 Prayer Update

Praise God for Amazing Gospel Conversations at the last October Outreach!

Martinez Team

The Martinez team met with 13 different folks during the last outreach on October 9. They distributed food bags, blankets, blessing bags, and two Bibles. The team had the opportunity to hear the stories and pray with several people. Some were open to the Gospel, others were not willing to pray with team members. The brokeness and pain of their lives - for those who have been homeless for a long period of time and for those who are newly homeless -- can make them very hungry for the Gospel or resistant. It was encouraging to hear that a man named Frank had dubbed the Martinez facility, "Camp Hope." They are seeing Jesus in the volunteers, and indeed, where there is Jesus, there is hope!

Here are some prayer needs for the folks the Martinez team spent time with.

  • Dusty and Judy who are newly homeless and struggling with family issues.

  • Frank, who wants to help the other homeless people around him.

  • Lisa Marie asked for the safety of her granddaughters

  • Dickey, who prayed about salvation and his needs. He is opening up to the Gospel and to Ken

  • Darlene, who has many medical issues and is need of reading glasses.

  • For Mike who believes in Christ and is asking for prayer that he would be able to rid himself of sin and know Christ's forgiveness.

  • For Jonathan and Kim -- Kim was not feeling well that day.
