March 1st Prayer Update
“This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
Registration is now open for our 3rd Annual Walkathon fundraiser! The event will be at the Lafayette Reservoir on April 26th. We need your help to make this a success. Please sign up and help us raise support for our ministry.
During our last outreach the teams distributed a number of Bibles both in English and Spanish as well as a booklet on how to get freedom from addiction.
We were blessed to have a few Spanish speakers join our outreach which gives us the ability to share the gospel clearly with those who don't speak English. Salvation is a miracle of God and only He has the power to open the eyes of the blind. Please pray that many will turn and follow Christ as the fruit of our ministry.
Our Martinez team happily saw Heather (in pink) on our last outreach. Heather is someone we've been able to give a lot of special assistance to. She received a hot shower, a haircut, access to laundry and multiple RV Bible studies. We lost contact with her and we hadn't seen her for several months. Our team prayed with Heather who was friendly and open to conversation. Please pray with us that the gospel we've shared with her will be transformative in her life.
Another familiar face was Tray (red hat). We've connected many times with Tray and have repeatedly shared the gospel with him. You may recall that some time ago, our team discovered his tent mate, Wanda, had passed away in her sleep. On this occasion we had a brief conversation but we pray it was an encouragement to Tray that he is not forgotten.
In Vallejo our team was able to have a gospel conversation with Timothy who accepted a Bible and prayer. He asked us to specifically pray for his family and his hand, which needs medical attention. The gospel was the focus as the team prayed for him. It's our continued prayer that he reads the Bible and that the Lord would bring him to saving faith and that we will see Timothy again to follow up on our conversation.
Desmond told us he has a Christian background but that he walked away from everything. He used to run a bait and tackle shop, but lost his business and ended up homeless. He was not interested in having a conversation and was packing up as the team tried engaging with him. Nevertheless, the gospel was presented to Desmond and he actually thanked those for speaking with him. In closing, he did receive a Bible that was offered to him. He asked prayer for happiness and the team pointed out that when they pray for his salvation they will pray he experiences complete joy.
Jonny has a college education and claims to be a believer. He compares himself to Job due to "all the problems that he has had in life and how everyone else had taken advantage of him." The team pointed Jonny to what Job said during these trials and he teared up. The gospel was presented as encouragement and the team felt they had a great conversation with him. Please pray with us that Johnny takes the opportunity to honor God regardless of his situation.
Please pray these individuals read the Bibles they received.
