Imagine the Possibilities!
What if we had a safe accessible place for our homeless friends to sit down for a meal, take a hot shower, and receive fresh clothing? A place where people suffering from addiction could meet with a certified biblical counselor to help them understand the freedom available to them in Christ? Or where those who have received a bible, can sit down and study it with us?
With your help and prayers we can make this happen!
We at Hope 680 have been praying about these possibilities for some time. It has become clear that a “place” like this needs to be mobile - to be where our homeless friends are. Why? Since most homeless don’t have access to transportation, they know that when they leave their possessions, they risk having their property stolen before they get back. By going to them with these services, we eliminate the need for them to leave their belongings, therefore making it simpler for us to engage with them in the most meaningful manner.
Hope 680 is pursuing the purchase of an RV so all these possibilities can become reality by Spring 2023. The purchase of an RV for our ministry will enable our teams to:
Meet the homeless where they’re located
Offer the additional blessings of a hot shower and clean clothes to those who participate in the study of God’s Word
Provide safe access to biblical addiction counseling and opportunities for bible studies
Our prayer is to raise needed funds by March 31, to acquire the RV.
This amount would cover the cost to purchase, license and make needed conversions, such as:
Modifying seating arrangements so that a biblical counselor can sit across from the person being counseled
Adding storage space for additional food and clothing items, as well as study materials
Adding an awning where people can gather outside the RV to receive donated items and meet for Bible studies
Creating a safe place to meet practical needs
